Cair Paravel Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels

Welcome to Cair Paravel Cavaliers

At Cair Paravel Cavaliers we strive to maintain all the breed characteristics that have made this breed so well loved. Our puppies are born in our home where they are lovingly cared for until it is time for them to go home to yours. They are well socialized and familiar with children and other animals.

Cavaliers are “people dogs”. There is nowhere they’d rather be than with you! This makes them wonderful family members that provide years of companionship and enjoyment. Our dogs are part of our everyday lives. Making them part of yours will bring you many years of love and companionship. We hope you enjoy the time you spend perusing through our site!

We are always accepting deposits on future litters! If you would like to be placed on our priority waiting list, a deposit of $500 will reserve your place in line. Included with your deposit should be the completed deposit form that is on our website. We have NURSERY and UPCOMING LITTERS pages, for information on current and upcoming litters. We will be posting new litter information on our website as well as our Facebook page. We will contact you via email or text when we have a new litter, if you are on our priority waiting list. Choices will be made in the order the deposits were received. You are welcome to skip a litter and carry your deposit over to the next litter, if it is not the perfect time, or the perfect puppy for you is not available.

PUPPY PICK-OUT

If you are on our waiting list, once a litter is born we will contact you to determine if there is a puppy that matches your gender and color preferences, that you’d like to place your deposit on.

VISITATIONS

We only allow visitors who have placed a deposit. Puppies are newborns and exposure to outside diseases, especially Parvovirus, can be very serious. We want to be sure that all of our puppies have great starts and go home healthy. We have been urged by veterinarians to limit visitors, and have implemented this policy for the health of our puppies. Our complete visiting policy is listed under the INFO tab found on this site.

FINAL PAYMENTS

Final payments are accepted in the form of cash or credit card only. We do not accept PayPal, debit cards, or any form of check for final payment.

DELIVERY

Your puppy can be hand delivered to the airport of your choice by our puppy nanny. You will be met in the airport terminal with your new family member. Prices start at $500 and will vary by location of the airport. This fee includes airfare, health certificate, and the nanny service.

Alternatively, we can meet you at our airport, Dallas Ft. Worth International, and you can fly home with your puppy as a carry on. This service is $100 and includes a health certificate.

You are welcome to drive to us and meet us at our home for pick-up as well.

Visiting Policy

cavalier visiting policy

Who doesn’t want to visit and meet puppies? We completely understand your desire to see a litter of precious puppies. All of our puppies are raised here and are cared for by our family. We are not open to the public, as a pet store would be. We currently only allow visits from those on our waiting list who have placed a deposit. When the puppies are six weeks of age, we have one visitation day that we schedule visits, after the first series of vaccinations has been received. We ask that you make plans accordingly to visit on that day, or plan to meet your new puppy at eight weeks when you pick them up to go home. We want to do everything we can to ensure that all of our puppies go home to their new families healthy. We are happy to answer any questions you may have prior to placing a deposit. We have many testimonials and references, including that of our veterinarian who has been our veterinarian since 2004.

  1. Puppies have immature immune systems. Our vet has recommended limiting visitors. It is important to limit young puppies’ exposure to disease that could be unintentionally brought in by visitors. They are like human newborn babies, in that it is best to limit handling to a small number of individuals. Diseases that a young puppy can succumb to are often times brought in on shoes and clothing.
  2. New mothers are very protective of their babies. They get stressed by unfamiliar sights and smells, which are brought in by visitors. Stress does cause her body to release cortisol into her milk supply. The puppies in turn ingest the cortisol and it can stress their bodies as well. This can cause thriving issues for puppies.
  3. Puppies are reserved by purchasing families. We have a responsibility to not only our dogs and puppies, but also to those families who are trusting us for a healthy and well-adjusted puppy.
  4. If you have a deposit in place, please plan on visiting at the appropriate time without other pets.

We hope that you view this policy as a reflection of being a responsible breeder, who cares about the well-being of the puppies and mothers, and as a display of fairness to our purchasing families.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we visit and meet your dogs and puppies before placing a deposit or picking my new puppy?

Please click here to see our policy.

How does your waiting list work?

Please click here for our waiting list policy.

What is the best way to contact you?

We recommend that you contact us by text message or phone call, which typically receives the quickest response. You may also email us if that is more convenient for you. All of our contact information is on the homepage of our website.

When can my puppy come home?

Typically, puppies are ready to go home at nine to ten weeks of age.

Will my puppy be potty trained when I pick him/her up?

It is almost impossible for an eight week old puppy to be completely potty trained. Potty training is a process that does not happen over that short of a period of time. We do, however, start litter box training here which helps tremendously with transitioning into crate training. We continually get feedback that our puppies crate train very easily and can sleep through the night at a very young age, sometimes upon going to their new homes.

Will my puppy have age appropriate vaccinations?

Yes. All puppies are given a NeoPar shot at four weeks, and a five way series at six weeks. If they are still here at nine weeks, they will be given another five way series. They are also dewormed every two weeks starting at two weeks of age. They are also started on flea and tick prevention here as well. We will give you your puppy’s health records to take to your first vet visit. Your puppy will also be microchipped before leaving here and you will be able to register the chip to your name.

Do you health test your dogs?

Yes, all of our adult Cavaliers have had the appropriate testing done including CERF exams, and OFA cleared heart and patellas.
